The surprise

I picked this up for $25 out the door, mostly out of curiosity. My experience with Nasha had been limited to their bubble hash and temple balls, which I thought were pretty poorly done. Expectations were low.

BIG NOSE on this one. Crack the jar and the papaya fruitiness takes over the room. Sweet, ripe, earthy—pungent doesn’t really do it justice. The rosin itself has a darker-yellow tint.

That flavor carries through fully into the dab. Very smooth, no terp burn, and every bit as flavorful as the nose suggests.

The effects were good: physically relaxed, very clear-headed, no real couch lock. I wasn’t taking particularly big dabs, so keep that in mind.

Nothing about this jar disappointed me. I was genuinely impressed, especially coming from my previous experience with Nasha. At $25 out the door, I’d buy it again.

OUTSIDE READING · NOT MY TASTING NOTES

A little more context

Nasha separates its traditional pressed and unpressed hash from its cold-cure live rosin. On its product page, the brand describes the latter as rosin made from fresh-frozen material and cured to a wet-badder consistency. That helps put my surprise in context: I’d been judging my expectations from a different kind of Nasha product. It doesn’t establish every production detail of this jar. [NB01P]

Ernesto Martinez’s Budist review of Nasha Guava Gift is an interesting contrast. He liked that rosin too, but came in with a favorable view of Nasha’s traditional hash. My earlier purchases hadn’t left me feeling that way. Two different starting points, and two different rosin cultivars. [N01]

For the cultivar name, a Punch Extracts Poochies Papaya review emphasizes a sweet papaya flavor. That overlaps with the fruit I noticed, but it’s Punch’s rosin, not Nasha’s. I haven’t found an independent review matched to my jar. [N03]

These effects describe my experience at the amount I used. The earlier criticism is of Nasha products I’d tried, not every product or batch the brand makes.
