The Diesel
Like sucking on a tractor exhaust pipe. That was my description of the PUA Diesel, and I meant it as a compliment. This air-dried hash was incredible.
It was relatively stable at room temperature, then started greasing up immediately with a little warm pressure. The change was striking. Beside the Wooksauce and 710, it pressed into a thin flag and gave me a much cleaner burn than the 710 at the same temperature.
What the price changes
I paid $90 for the gram. My original post left the repurchase question hanging, so here’s the answer: yes, I’d pay it again. Total fire. Worth the splurge every once in a while.
That doesn’t make it an everyday purchase. The Wooksauce was excellent at $65, and I had a harder time talking myself into another roughly $90 gram of Plumberry. The PUA was the one that made the occasional indulgence feel worthwhile to me.
I prefer air-dried hash because it tastes closer to a pure expression of the plant. That’s a palate preference, not a claim that I’ve measured what drying removes. Different cultivars, producers, and batches are involved here. All I can say is that this one gave me the experience I was looking for.
A little more context
PUA has some documented full-melt history. Matt Jackson’s Ego Clash 2022 recap for Leaf records fifth place for Pua Extractions’ Mt. Hood Magic NL. That recognition belongs to that entry, not to Diesel. [P01]
There’s also a detailed air-dried Yellow Zu review involving PUA, Passion 4 Hashing, and Mendoja. Sinsemillaville praises its flavor and smoothness. In the accompanying melt-shot discussion, a commenter challenges the burn and full-melt label; the reviewer agrees it isn’t six-star, while other replies argue about the temperature measurement. It’s a mixed account of a collaboration, not a second opinion on my Diesel. [P02] [P03]
I didn’t find a verified independent review of this exact Diesel. The name alone isn’t enough to borrow a Sour Diesel pedigree or a tasting profile from another producer. The exhaust-pipe description above is mine.
The burn comparison describes my experience, not verified purity or safety. Exact temperature, amounts, and a matching test protocol weren’t recorded.
Sources & review notes
The main review comes from my own posts and follow-up notes. Outside descriptions stay in the separately labeled section above; they aren’t additional tasting notes from me.

Outside reading
- [P01] Rehashed: The Clash of the Egos
Historical award for the same producer, different cultivar.
Historical result for another cultivar, not a Diesel award or batch-quality guarantee. Article’s air-dried/freeze-dried technique description for Simpleeadam is not PUA technique evidence.
- [P02] Passion 4 Hashing - Yellow Zu
Same producer in a collaboration, different cultivar; explicitly air-dried full melt.
Not Diesel, not solo PUA. Process attribution is reviewer-reported, not producer-verified. The post’s flair says Rosin Review, but its body explicitly describes Air Dried Full Melt. Same author as P03, not a second independent witness.
- [P03] Passion 4 Hashing x Mendoja Farms x Pua Extractions - Yellow Zu Melt Shot
Discussion accompanying P02; same reviewer, not an independent second review.
Video pixels not independently assessed; report textual reactions only. Not evidence that PUA Diesel chars or that rosin is objectively superior. Claims about producer motives and workflow shortcuts are unsupported and excluded.
Outside reading checked in October 2026. Individual reviews are anecdotal; neither a shared strain name nor a shared producer proves a matching batch. No outside photography is reused.
