The jar
Greasy greasy. That was my first description of this OGZ × Giraffe Puzzy, and it’s still the useful one. This wasn’t a stable little pile of hash that sat there holding its shape. It was my first time with the Giraffe terps, and I was enjoying them.
I paid $65 for the gram. This was one of four jars I wrote about together, alongside PUA Diesel, Platinum Barns Plumberry, and 710 Labs Papaya Fumes. Of those four, the Wooksauce had the least complicated answer to the end-of-jar question: absolutely, I’d buy it again.
Beside the other jars
The Wook and PUA pressed into thin flags; the 710 stayed more layered and opaque. At the same temperature, the Wook and PUA also gave me a much cleaner burn than the 710. That’s what I saw in this comparison, not a lab finding about purity.
I prefer the air-dried experience. To my palate it’s closer to the plant, even if I can’t quite put a finger on what I miss in freeze-dried hash. But this Wooksauce is freeze-dried, and I loved it. That preference isn’t a reason to talk myself out of a jar this good.
The PUA earned its occasional $90 splurge. The Plumberry was good enough to want again, but its roughly $90 ticket made me hesitate. At $65, I had no such hesitation about the Wook.
A little more context
The closest outside comparison I found is a full-melt review from The Ville of West Coast Alchemy × Mendoja’s Vanilla Bean, identified there as OGZ × Giraffe Puzzy. The reviewer describes cream and citrus around a Z-like flavor, and enjoys it without finding the profile especially unusual. That’s another maker’s version of the named combination, not my Wooksauce jar. [W01]
Wooksauce has a longer review trail than this one cross. West Coast Weed Reviews praised the melting performance of its Cookies and Cream in 2021, while finding the effects less heavy than expected. A later Reddit discussion goes the other way: a buyer reports poor flavor and leaking jars, with replies disputing whether the hash or its handling was responsible. The buyer confirms a secondary seller was involved; the cause isn’t established. Neither account is about this OGZ × Giraffe Puzzy. [W03] [W04]
My own reason for the repeat purchase is still the jar in front of me: I enjoyed it, liked how it behaved beside the others, and was happy with what I got for $65.
These were different cultivars from different producers, not a controlled drying-method test. The comparison doesn’t establish why they behaved differently.

Outside reading
- [W01] Vanilla Bean full melt by West Coast Alchemy x Mendoja Farms
Same named combination and full-melt category; different maker, drying method and batch not matched.
Different producer and jar; drying method not established. No batch or genetic identity bridge to Wooksauce. Reviewer speculation about transit and microscopic specks is not verified causation or contamination evidence. Those ratings, flavors, devices, temperatures, effects and micron ranges describe the other reviewer’s jar, not this one.
- [W03] Cookies and Cream by WookSauce Winery
Same producer, different cultivar, historical 2021 review.
Not OGZ x Giraffe Puzzy; old product, batch and drying method not matched. Author not visible in extracted full article; search byline not promoted into verified metadata. Six-star rating is subjective and not a laboratory purity finding.
- [W04] Wooksauce winery absolutely trash
Same producer, other products; handling history disputed.
Not the target cultivar and precise formats mixed/unclear. Unverified personal accusations and paid-actor speculation excluded. Cause of leakage not established. This disagreement does not establish a brand-wide failure rate or quality verdict.
Outside reading checked in October 2026. Individual reviews are anecdotal; neither a shared strain name nor a shared producer proves a matching batch. No outside photography is reused.
